1. How does the IDW deal affect how I order Alien Books & Valiant Comics?

   1. Alien Books and Valiant Comics will now be solicited in IDW’s catalog and distributed exclusively to the direct market through Penguin Random House. As a result, our titles will no longer be available via Diamond Comic Distributors.

2. What happens to the unreleased items that I’ve already ordered through Diamond?

   1. All unfilled orders for upcoming Alien Books titles originally solicited through Diamond Comic Distributors will be canceled. Retailers will need to place new orders with IDW via Penguin Random House once those titles are uploaded to their system.

3. Will previously released Alien Books titles be made available through Penguin Random House?

   1. The majority of the previously released Alien Books graphic novels, hardcovers, manga and trade paperbacks will be transferred to PRH and available for re-order in the months ahead. A smaller assortment of single issue comics and magazines will be transferred to PRH for select re-orders.

4. When will we see the first Alien Books and Valiant Comics titles solicited through IDW?

   1. We expect to debut our upcoming titles in IDW’s April for August solicitations.

1. Does the publishing agreement with IDW affect Alien’s digital comic releases?

   1. No. The publishing agreement is only for print / physical releases.

2. Will Alien Books continue to do crowdfunding projects?

   1. Yes, Alien will continue to develop new crowdfunding projects and fulfill our existing campaigns.

3. Will Alien Books continue to release manga?

   1. Yes! Alien will be announcing newly acquired manga titles soon. All manga titles will be included in IDW’s solicitations going forward.

4. Will Alien Books be acquiring any other licenses?

   1. Yes! We will be making announcements regarding two new properties very soon!

5. Will I still be able to get Alien Books and Valiant Comics in the UK?

   1. All of our titles will be made available worldwide via IDW & Penguin Random House’s distribution network.

1. How does the Alien Books and IDW publishing deal affect Valiant Comics?

   1. The publishing agreement between Alien Books and Valiant Comics remains unchanged. Going forward, you’ll see Valiant Comics advertised in the pages of IDW titles, included in the IDW catalog, and available in new marketplaces worldwide.

2. Who is responsible for the editorial direction of the Valiant Comics line?

   1. The Alien Books team is in charge of the editorial direction of all Valiant titles, with input and approvals coming from Valiant Comics.

3. What is Valiant Beyond?

   1. Valiant Beyond is a line-wide initiative of new and exciting takes on the iconic Valiant Comics characters. These ultra-accessible stories will be ideal for new readers while containing plenty of easter eggs and familiar elements for long-time fans.

4. When are the Valiant Beyond comics coming out?

   1. The Valiant Beyond titles will begin arriving in comic shops in August 2025.

5. What happened to the Valiant Comics Ultimate Guide?

   1. This title will now be released as a digital-only special.

6. What happened to the Valiant Zombies: Resurrection Free Comic Book Day special?

   1. The new story content from this year’s Free Comic Book Day title will be repurposed and released later this year. Please stay tuned for more details in the months to come.

7. What happened to [X] title? Is it still coming out?

   1. We are working on an updated release calendar for 2025 and hope to share the details soon!
