Alien Books prepares for the
valiant comics resurgence with new sales & operations hire

Manny Castellanos to handle Sales and Operations as Alien Books prepares for two high-profile comic launches in the direct market.
Alien Books has brought Manny Castellanos on board to manage Sales and Operations for its entire line of comics, manga, and graphic novels.
Manny Castellanos joins the team at Alien Books after previously working in the sales departments at Mad Cave Studios and BOOM! Studios, where he collaborated with distribution partners like Diamond Comic Distributors and engaged with direct market retailers to help drive orders of monthly releases and address their ongoing needs.

September will see the release of two major titles from Alien Books in comic shops: RESURGENCE OF THE VALIANT UNIVERSE #1 and BLACK, WHITE & BLOODSHOT #1.
RESURGENCE is a line-wide crossover event featuring many of the iconic Valiant characters like Bloodshot, X-O Manowar, Ninjak, Rai, Faith, Eternal Warrior, and more. The event follows the machinations of the evil Dr. Silk, who promises to deliver a world without death to his devoted followers. Silk's plan threatens to divide the ranks of the world's heroes and reshape the global order of power unless he can be stopped.
The extra-length first issue arrives in comic shops on September 18th and will feature a powerhouse writing team of Becky Cloonan, Michael W. Conrad, Fred Van Lente, and AJ Ampadu with stunning artwork by Guillermo Fajardo and Julio Azamor. Final orders for RESURGENCE #1 are due with comic shop retailers on August 19.
BLACK, WHITE & BLOODSHOT is an all-new four issue anthology series starring the world's deadliest assassin, Bloodshot. Each issue will feature multiple stories in black, white and red tones told by an amazing assortment of comics industry talent including Bloodshot co-creator Kevin VanHook, Brian Azzarello, Eduardo Risso, Ariel Olivetti, and many more.
BLACK, WHITE & BLOODSHOT #1 arrives in comic shops on September 25.
