REAL NAME: FAITH HERBERT

ALIASES: Zephyr; Summer Smith.

ABILITIES: Companion field, flying.

KNOWN ASSOCIATIONS: Obadiah Archer, Armstrong, G.A.T.E., Ivar Anni-Padda, the Harbinger Renegades.

  • Faith's parents died in a car crash when she was young. They left behind a massive collection of comic books.

  • She's a huge fan of comics, sci-fi and pop culture, specially anything with a time-travel arc.

  • The Harbinger Foundation, specializing in young psiots, founded by Toyo Harada, approched Faith when she was a teenager. She agreed to have Peter Stancheck activate her latent powers.

  • She later joined Stancheck and the Harbinger Renegades in their fight against the Harbinger Foundation.

  • When the Renegades disbanded, she moved to L.A. where she started working for Zipline, an entertainment website. This is when she penned the name Summer Smith.

  • The Vine attacked the Zipline office and her co-workers learned of her true identity (this incendent is documented by G.A.T.E. thanks to a testimony from one of the aliens, who helped Faith stop the revenge-seeking group.)

  • The first encounter with the Faithless is reported to have happened at the last West Coast Fan Con, where Faith and Obadiah Archer were involved in an incident with Murder Mouse, a thief trading with magical objects. The group is composed of Faith's archnemesis: Murder Mouse, Chris Criswell (formerly America's favorite superhero actor, now criminal mastermind), Dark Star (superevil psiot entity trapped in the body of a cat), and Sidney Pierce (a Vine disguised as a celebrity).

  • The Faithless framed Faith for murder. She mostly kept a low profile, save for an incident in Washington D.C. during Valentine's Day.

  • She was able to clear her name, with the help of Archer and Armstrong, using G.A.T.E.'s resources after making a deal with Brigadier General Capshaw.

  • Her romantic relationship with Archer seems to be on pause.
