REAL NAME: FAITH HERBERT

ALIASES: Zephyr; Summer Smith.

ABILITIES: Companion field, flying.

KNOWN ASSOCIATIONS: Obadiah Archer, Armstrong, G.A.T.E., Ivar Anni-Padda, the Harbinger Renegades.

  • Faith's parents died in a car crash when she was young. They left behind a massive collection of comic books.

  • She's a huge fan of comics, sci-fi and pop culture, especially anything with a time-travel arc.

  • The Harbinger Foundation, specializing in young psiots, founded by Toyo Harada, approached Faith when she was a teenager. She agreed to have Peter Stancheck activate her latent powers.

  • She later joined Stancheck and the Harbinger Renegades in their fight against Harada, which resulted in the death of one of their own, Flamingo, after she saved Faith's life.

  • As the Renegades disbanded, Faith moved to L.A. where she started working for Zipline, an entertainment website, and penned the name Summer Smith. Her co-workers eventually learned her true identity after the Vine attacked the office.

  • Faith’s first encounter with the Faithless happened during a West Coast Fan Con, where she and Obadiah Archer were involved in an incident caused by Murder Mouse, a thief trading with magical objects. The Faithless is formed by Faith’s archnemesis: Murder Mouse, Chris Chriswell (formerly America’s favorite superhero actor, now criminal mastermind), Dark Star (superevil psiot entity trapped in the body of a cat), and Sidney Pierce (a Vine planting disguised as a celebrity).

  • When the Faithless framed Faith for murder, she stopped her superhero activities and kept a low profile, except for an incident in Washington, D.C. during Valentine’s Day. She was in a romantic relationship with Archer, but they went their separate ways after the incident.

  • Sometime later, she made a deal with General Capshaw to use G.A.T.E.’s resources to clear her name, catching all the Faithless and delivering them to the authorities.

OTHER DETAILS: She's one of the few psiots that embraced her superpowers as a means to be a superhero and help others.

She would prefer the codename Zephyr.
