REAL NAME: JAMIE CAPSHAW
Career military-woman, Jamie Capshaw is the leading American military officer in the areas of extraterrestial and superpowered threats.
She was in charge of containing X-O Manowar when he was seeking to claim present-day Romania as their ancestral homeland. Then Colonel Capshaw, in concert with Toyo Harada and his Unity team, acted to quell the alien-armored king. She then convinced Aric to settle in American territory, in exchange for his services in benefit of the United States government.
The Armor Hunters are an elite fighting force of aliens recruited to combat the spread of the sentient X-O Manowar like armors throughout the universe. Based on the planet Gennin, squads of hunters travel the universe purging planets infected by the armors. The last surviving team, led by Primary Reebo, fell in combat with Unity when they came to Earth after Aric of Dacia. As a result of this intended invasion, GIN-GR, a sentient spacecraft from a race of giant self-aware robots, was recruited by G.A.T.E.
Gen. Capshaw was formerly in charge of M.E.R.O. (Military Extraterrestrial Reconnaissance Outpost) that transformed, in collaboration between the Department of Defense with MI6, into a public agency after the Armor Hunters invasion, when top secret information about the heroes of Earth was leaked. Capshaw led the task of formally introducing G.A.T.E. (Global Agency for Threat Excision) and Earth's defenders to the world at large.
When Divinity settled down in Australia, Capshaw and Neville Alcott deployed the modern founding members of Unity—Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior, Ninjak, Livewire and X-O Manowar—to contain the situation. There was a difference of opinion on whether Divinity represented an actual threat, but in the end, Divinity was put under G.A.T.E.'s custody.
Gen. Capshaw and Woody were the only people registered to be capable of seeing the portals opening to the Faraway before anything crossed over. When Capshaw dissapeared, Agent Myna kept Woody aboard of B.O.B. (Biosphere Oversight Base) and used this ability to help coordinate Unity's efforts around the world, while she sent Quantum to the field. Capshaw later returned alongside Ivar and Rai, the human-tech hybrid from the 41st Century.
