G.A.T.E. has intel, collected by Livewire about Dr. Silk's past. As a young man in the late 1930s, Dr. Silk was part of a team of scientists that worked with the goal of creating a super team. He developed the first AI, the first version of Bloodshot. But the project was eventually shut down.
Dr. Deloris, whom the team called Dell, was a woman he had fallen in love with, and whom he subjected to forced mind-transplants. Dell managed to escape his control in recent years, and the Eternal Warrior informs she travels the world looking for the clones, to eliminate them. She's also after the clones of Dr. Silk's assistant, Fitz, who's in charge of ground operations for the doctor.
Ninjak reported killing Silk's original body, stored in a secret location in South East Asia. MI6's Neville Alcott believed this would be the end of Webnet, Silk's organization formed by hundreds of his clones and other agents that were spreading a biological virus that replaced people's minds with a zombie brain tailored by Silk.
After the recent earthquakes and sinkholes starting appearing all around the world, Dr. Silk address the world as the benefactor of humanity: he promises the cure to all diseases and the end of death.
His followers, known as "the Weavers", have organized camps where everyone that believes in Silk's utopia is welcome. We're awaiting Livewire's report about what she finds in D.C.
Rai, the 41st Century techno-human hybrid informs that Silk's still a prominent figure in his time, having been fundamental in the creator of Father, the AI that ruled New Japan and that, in turn, created Rai.
OTHER DETAILS: nobody knows how old he is; finding his original body could give an advantage.
