TOYO HARADA AND THE HARBINGER FOUNDATION
Amanda grew up in the foster system until her latent psiot powers caught the attention of Toyo Harada. Harada is the billionaire leader of his public-facing company, Harada Global Conglomerates; while behind the scenes he formed the Harbinger Foundation, a secret academy aimed at activating and training young super-humans called “psiots”, who, like himself exhibit an array of psychic abilities. The artificial activation of psiots is a difficult and agonizing process that many don’t survive. Harada’s psionic abilities were activated by the atomic bomb in the final days of WWII. He’s capable of telekinesis and telepathy, and has a genius level intellect.
He took Amanda under his wing, and was a strict but supportive figure in her life. Raised by the Harbinger Foundation, her technopathic abilities earned her the codename Livewire. She grew into a position of leadership, but went into exile after aiding Peter Stanchek against the Foundation.
UNITY
She accepted Harada’s call to aid in halting X-O Manowar’s attempt to claim Romania as a Visigoth homeland. Livewire, Ninjak, and the Eternal Warrior formed a team known as Unity and managed to strip Aric of the X-O suit. Amanda briefly wore the armor, which boosted her technopathic abilities and enabled her to access the entirety of Harada’s secret records. Upon returning the armor to Aric, he joined Unity and the team agreed to work with MI6 to protect Earth from superhuman threats, with Livewire as their leader.
SECRET WEAPONS AND HARBINGER WARS II
Livewire continued investigating the secrets of the Harbinger Foundation, which led her to secret facilities called the Willows. At the Willows lived hundreds of psiots whose abilities were deemed not useful for the foundation. She managed to track down a group of survivors from the Oklahoma City Center, which was raided by H.A.R.D. Corps after the Harada files went public.
When the kids became a target again, Livewire responded by shutting down the power grid of the US. This caused chaos around the country, and started the Second Harbinger Wars. Major Palmer of H.A.R.D. Corps worked with Ninjak and X-O Manowar to take care of Stanchek, but both heroes, who had worked with Livewire in Unity, turned on the mission when they learned the extent to which the Harbinger Foundation had tortured children. Ninjak prevented Palmer from taking on a group of kids in an Ohio city, while Aric let Livewire escape after she used Bloodshot, remotely-controlled, to crash to the ground G.A.T.E.’s flying vessel, Love Boat. Livewire and the Secret Weapons have been on the run ever since.

OTHER DETAILS: She designed her own nano-molecular suit modeled after Aric’s X-O Armor. Lined with countless fly link wing bristles, it enables her to fly. Further modifications, make the costume able to conjure up and/or assimilate scrap parts into it for creating artillery. Some copper wiring lined into her nano suit, allows her to siphon and polarize limitless energy using plant matter as fuel source.
Personal Life
At some point during their work for Unity, Ninjak and Livewire became lovers. What started as casual encounters, turned into a fierce loyalty for Ninjak, proved by the fact that even when he was still able to locate Livewire, he didn’t turn her and the Secret Weapons to the authorities.
